Upcoming PS5 and PS4 games for May and June 2023

Summer is fast approaching and the games just keep coming, with many fantastic titles coming our way over the next few months.

After several delays, Hogwarts Legacy is finally coming to PS4 on May 5th.

Experience Hogwarts and other parts of the magical world of Harry Potter in the 19th century in this immersive open-world action role-playing game. You’ll travel through familiar and new locations while exploring and discovering magical beasts, customizing your character and crafting potions, mastering spells, honing your talents and more, and you can read all about it in our review.

LEGO 2K Drive is an exciting prospect for fans of LEGO games. LEGO 2K Drive is an all-new open-world LEGO driving adventure where players can “race anywhere, play with anyone, build their dream vehicles and defeat a series of insane racing rivals for the coveted sky trophy!”

The game puts you behind the wheel of transforming vehicles that give you the freedom to speed seamlessly across immersive racetracks, off-road terrain and open water. There’s a story mode, individual races and cup series tournaments, and even some mini-games to get stuck into. The game launches May 19 and pre-orders are open now:

The next Lord of the Rings game arrives on May 25th when The Lord of the Rings: Gollum launches on PS5 and PS4.

Taking place parallel to the events described in The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action-adventure game described as an “epic interactive experience”. Playing as Gollum himself, you embark on a perilous journey to discover how he outwitted the most powerful characters in Middle-earth. Fans will discover Gollum’s own story for the first time, with a combination of action and stealth gameplay driving the narrative.

Powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE, Street Fighter 6 is the latest installment in this fantastic fighting series, coming to PS5 and PS4 on June 2nd.

Promising “innovative new gameplay features plus enhanced graphics for every aspect of the game,” Street Fighter 6 looks set to be another must-play for fans of the genre. The game will feature three game modes (Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub) and several different pre-orders are available now:

Diablo IV is set to introduce “a vast new world to explore filled with endless adventure, deadly demons, and legendary loot” on June 6th.

In the latest installment in the RPG series, explore the corrupted land of Sanctuary as it plunges into a new era of darkness. You can travel alone or with friends as you progress through the game’s campaign, accepting quests, liberating cities and battling epic bosses. Cross-play, cross-progression, and couch co-op are also supported, meaning you have multiple ways to play.

Final Fantasy XVI, the 16th main installment in the series, brings a darker twist to the franchise with “a complex tale of revenge, power struggles, and inevitable tragedy.” The game reimagines the series’ summons as Eikons – deadly creatures housed in dominants, male and female, who inherit their immense power at birth.

You play as Clive Rosfield, First Shield of Rosaria and keeper of his younger brother Joshua, Dominant of the Eikon Phoenix. Expect all sorts of epic action-RPG goodness when this one launches on June 22nd:
